I am pleased to write to you, to thank you and your Township Council for commemorating the 150th year of the Circassian Genocide, which was committed against the Circassian people by the Tsarist Russian invading forces. That reminds of the recognition of the Circassian Genocide by my country, the Republic of Georgia in May, 2011; in an attempt to reveal information about the tragedy and to support the Circassians to restore their rights in accordance with the United Nations Charter and the International law.
